What online marketplaces or stores do you integrate with?
We offer gateway integration for Gunbroker Immediate Checkout, Gearfire, AmmoReady, Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, SquareSpace, Wix, Quickbooks, websites and many other FFL marketplaces.
Why did Paypal, Square or Stripe shut me down hold my funds from my gun sale?
Paypal, Square and Stripe prohibit the sale of guns, ammo and other related FFL items. If they determine that you used your account with them to accept payment for a gun or FFL related item, they will hold your funds for 6 months or permanently and close your account. We specialize in FFL related businesses and we work with banks that accept gun related transactions without holding your funds.
What types of businesses do you support?
We specialize in FFL and FFL related businesses but we are able to offer payment solutions to non-FFL related businesses as well.
We can set up storefront, home-based and online FFL related businesses with NO high risk fees.
Are there any setup fees or hidden charges?
We maintain transparent pricing with no hidden fees. We’ll provide a clear breakdown upfront on your activation paperwork.
Can I integrate your system with my existing POS hardware or eCommerce store?
Yes, our solutions are compatible with a wide range of POS devices and eCommerce platforms including Gunbroker, Gearfire, and AmmoReady. We assist with smooth integration to minimize downtime.
What kind of customer support do you offer?
When you establish your account, unlike large corporations, we provide you with our personal cell phone numbers where you can reach us outside of standard support hours should you have any technical or account related issues.
In addition, our team provides personalized, ongoing support via phone, email, and live chat to resolve issues quickly and keep your business running. Our normal support hours are 9am-6pm Monday through Friday excluding holidays. We also have a 24/7 after hours tech support team to help with issues outside of our normal support hours.
What about home-based FFL's?
We absolutely can set you up. As long as you have a valid FFL and a bank account, you are good to go.
What is the cost of EPIC Simple Zero to my business?
On our EPIC Zero Plan you only pay a monthly service fee as low as $9.99 based on the equipment you choose. The customer pays the processing fees.
We have other equipment and software available for additional fees including gateways, wifi devices, wireless devices, mobile readers and POS equipment. Contact us for more details.
Should I choose EPIC Simple Zero or EPIC Interchange Plus?
EPIC Interchange Plus is a traditional plan where the merchant pays the fees at the end of the month. EPIC Simple Zero is where you pay no processing fees and the customer pays processing fees. You only pay the monthly fee as low as $9.99 based on the equipment you choose.

What if I want a POS or different equipment from what is included?
We have Clover POS equipment, EPIC POS equipment, wireless devices, wifi devices , mobile and other countertop devices available. We may be able to offer these free-on-loan or for an additional amount. Please see our activation page or contact us for more information.
What is EPIC PLUS?
EPIC PLUS is an interchange plus pricing model designed for FFLs who prefer one price for all customers.
Pricing remains consistent whether the customer pays with cash or credit card. Card acceptance costs are built into the overall pricing of goods and services.
Who pays processing costs with EPIC PLUS?
With EPIC PLUS, the business pays per transaction card processing costs and any applicable monthly fees as normal operating expenses.
Because pricing is the same for all customers, both cash and credit card customers share in the cost of accepting cards.
Why would an FFL choose EPIC PLUS?
Some FFLs prefer EPIC PLUS for its simplicity and traditional pricing structure.
It offers one consistent price for all customers and treats card acceptance costs as a standard operating expense.
What pricing models do most FFLs choose?
Most FFLs choose one of two primary pricing models offered by EPIC Merchant Systems: EPIC ZERO or EPIC PLUS.
Each model is designed to support different business preferences while maintaining transparency, compliance, and predictable margins, regardless of whether the FFL operates from a storefront, a range, a home-based location, events, or online sales.
How quickly can I start processing payments?
Most accounts can be set up within one business day. Authorize.Net or website accounts can take additional time if certain required items are not listed on your website.
Do you offer mobile payment solutions?
Yes, we provide tap-to-pay apps and mobile card readers that allow you to accept payments anywhere, supporting your business on the go.
Why is EPIC Merchant Systems different from other payment providers?
EPIC is Veteran and family owned and operated. We founded EPIC to assist FFL related and Veteran-owned businesses in navigating the payment industry.
I thought Clover specifically does not allow firearms related sales? How are you able to provide my business with Clover equipment?
Clover does not use banks that work with firearms related businesses and therefore will not allow you to set up a merchant account directly.
We are able to utilize the Clover equipment while using our own FFL friendly banks. This allows us to give firearms and FFL-related businesses the ability to use Clover terminals and Clover POS equipment. Clover also gives you the ability to integrate with Fastbound.

How long does it take to receive funds after accepting a payment?
Most deposits arrive 2-3 business days after a sale is processed. Next day funding is also available to most businesses.
Can you beat my current pricing?
Yes, if you are already accepting payments and are interested in a custom pricing offer, please contact us. We can match or beat any other pricing.
Do you integrate with FastBound?
Yes. We offer Clover equipment that provides an app integration for FastBound. Contact us for more information.
Do you offer Authorize.net or NMI gateways?
Yes, we can set up an account with Authorize.Net or NMI gateway for you.
What does the customer pay with EPIC Simply Zero?
The processing fee on our EPIC Zero plan is 3.49%. If you are currently accepting cards, this fee can be reduced based on monthly volume and/or card acceptance method. Please contact us for more information.
What is EPIC ZERO?
EPIC ZERO uses a dual pricing framework. Customers are shown a cash price and a credit card price upfront and choose how they want to pay.
Customers who pay with a credit card cover the cost of card acceptance at checkout. Customers who pay with cash pay less.
This allows the business to accept credit cards without absorbing per transaction card acceptance costs.
Who pays the credit card processing costs with EPIC ZERO?
With EPIC ZERO, the customer who chooses to pay with a credit card covers the cost of card acceptance.
The business owner does not pay per transaction card acceptance costs. The merchant only pays any applicable monthly fees if they exist.
This prevents cash customers from subsidizing card paying customers and they get a cash discount.
Why do many FFLs choose EPIC ZERO?
Many FFLs choose EPIC ZERO because it protects margins without raising base prices.
It provides transparent pricing, gives customers a clear choice at checkout, and removes per transaction card acceptance costs from the business.
Are there other pricing options available?
Yes. While EPIC ZERO and EPIC PLUS cover the needs of most FFLs, EPIC Merchant Systems can also support other pricing models when requested.
These may include cash discount programs, surcharging where permitted by card brand rules and state law, tiered pricing, flat rate pricing, and card present versus card not present pricing.
These options are typically used in specific situations and are not commonly selected by most FFLs.
